Privacy at the Lavender Concierge

A plain-language note about what happens to your words here. This page covers the concierge only; shopping on centralcoastlavender.com is covered by the shop's own privacy policy.

How your request travels

What you type is carried between concierge pages in your own browser tab's temporary storage — not in links — and it clears when you close the tab. When you press a button like “Guide me” or “Suggest gift ideas,” your words are submitted to our server, which prepares the answer. Our server is part of the journey; your words do not stay only in your browser.

AI suggestions, only when you ask

For AI answers, our server sends your request to an AI provider, which processes it under its own policies. The concierge application is not designed to store your prompt text or write guest text to its logs, but our hosting and the AI provider may keep operational metadata (such as timestamps and request sizes), and we cannot promise that no copy of anything ever persists anywhere.

Please leave out health and other sensitive details. This is a free-form box, so it is possible to type personal or medical information — we don't ask for it and don't want it, and we can't guarantee such text is never processed if you choose to enter it. The concierge is everyday guidance, not medical advice.

Fair-use limits

To keep the service available to everyone, the concierge counts AI answers against daily limits. Counting uses a code that changes each day, derived from connection information (such as your IP address) scrambled with a server-only secret. The raw IP address is not stored in the quota tables. The code is pseudonymous, not anonymous: it lets the system count requests from the same connection within a day, and it is not an advertising or tracking identifier.

Daily counter rows (a date, the code, and a count) are kept in our database; a new day simply starts a new row, and we do not currently run automatic deletion of past counter rows. Short-lived “busy slot” records expire within about a minute and are removed as they expire or on the next use.

Booking a call with Lila

“Speak with Lila” scheduling runs on Google Calendar. When the booking link is available, anything you enter there — your name, email, and your question — is collected by Google under Google's own privacy policies, not by this concierge.

What the concierge does not do

No photo uploads (that feature is paused). No accounts or passwords. No advertising trackers, and no sale of your information. Nothing you type here books, buys, or charges anything — purchases happen only in the shop, under the shop's own policies.

Shopping and questions

When you follow a link to centralcoastlavender.com — to browse, buy, or read the source pages — the shop's privacy policy applies there. Questions about an order or a product go through the shop's contact page.

This note describes how the concierge works today, in plain language. It is not a legal guarantee or a replacement for the shop's official policies.
